CoreWeave Bangun 3 Pusat Data AI di Indonesia, Kapasitas 360 MW

CoreWeave expands into Asia‑Pacific with three new AI data centers in Indonesia, totaling 360 MW of IT power and slated to operate by 2028. The facilities will be owned and run by CoreWeave, delivering its AI‑native cloud platform to labs, startups and enterprises across Southeast Asia. This marks CoreWeave's first physical footprint outside the United States and Europe.

Indonesia was selected for its rapid digital economic growth, heavy investment in AI education, rising compute demand and strategic position in Southeast Asia. CoreWeave's COO said the move aligns with Indonesia's national priorities to strengthen digital infrastructure, expand domestic AI capabilities and become a leading regional digital economy. The company will hire and train local staff, helping build talent in data‑center, cloud and AI infrastructure while reducing latency for high‑speed, GPU‑intensive workloads and improving data‑compliance.

CoreWeave, which uses Nvidia AI accelerators and serves clients such as Microsoft, Meta, OpenAI and Anthropic, already runs about 50 data centers globally with over 1 GW active power. The 360‟MW expansion adds a major capacity boost to Indonesia’s data‑center ecosystem, highlighting the broader AI race for chips, power and facilities. Full impact will depend on site details, energy sources, job creation and partner involvement, according to Reuters.
