Hyundai Motors Indonesia unveiled two premium multi-purpose vehicles, the New Staria EV and New Staria Hybrid, at the 2026 Indonesia International Motor Show (GIIAS) in Tangerang. The New Staria EV is powered by an electric motor delivering 218 PS and 350 Nm of torque, offering a certified range of up to 544 kilometers under the NEDC cycle. It also includes an Outdoor Vehicle‑to‑Load (V2L) system that provides a portable 220 V power outlet, useful for outdoor activities or extra electricity needs. The launch underscores Hyundai’s push to broaden its electrified vehicle portfolio in Indonesia, offering options for buyers seeking zero‑emission mobility as well as those preferring hybrid solutions. The New Staria Hybrid pairs a 1.6‑liter Smartstream turbo gasoline engine with an electric motor, producing a combined output of 241 hp. This setup aims to give responsive performance while improving fuel efficiency. Both models are positioned to meet consumer demand for comfort and efficiency, expanding Hyundai’s electrified vehicle lineup in Indonesia. Both variants are expected to start shipping later in the year, providing Indonesian families and commercial operators a choice between pure electric and hybrid powertrains.
